About the promise to me project
Did you know that worldwide 400,000 women die every year from breast cancer1, 300,000 die from cervical cancer2, and 1 in 3 women over 50 experiences an osteoporotic fracture3 that will devastate her life?
It might feel overwhelming, but what if we began to chip away at those statistics by helping women better understand the importance of preventative care? What if we help women find access to care so that disease could be found earlier, and treated sooner, so every woman has a fighting chance? What if, one by one, we spread this message of empowerment to every woman, everywhere?
The Promise to Me project is based on this very idea. We are asking women around the world to make the promise to take care of their health and to pass this message on to all of the women in their life through promisetome.com. When you do, Hologic, a company dedicated to women's health, will donate $1 towards preventative healthcare for uninsured women, including cervical cancer screening, mammograms and osteoporosis testing. So together we begin to lower those numbers. One woman at a time.
Help us reach our goal. Please, make the promise. Then pass it on.
